Tyre guards are a safety part for the bike trailer to help prevent anything from coming into contact with the tyre. The guard will push either the object or the trailer to the side and prevent the trailer from coming to a sudden stop. The guard was included with all Explorer models from 2010 onwards and is easily installed by pushing it down and backwards into the locked position. To remove the guard, simply push down the middle button and push it back.
