Technical Overview – What kind of axle does Merida use?
Merida bikes use a variety of axle types:
- 12 mm rear thru axle (M12x1.0 / 1.5 / 1.75 depending on model)
- Boost spacing (148 mm rear hub on e-MTBs)
- 5 mm quick release (on older bikes)
- Some internal gear hub bikes (M10x1.0 or solid axle)

If you’re ordering from outside Norway, we recommend contacting us before you order if you’re unsure. Just send us your bike details – we’ll help you get it right the first time.

Can I use the same adapter on a different bike?
Only if the axle type is exactly the same. We recommend one adapter per bike.
