Description

This is the child ski sled / pulk that parents also love! Not just because the pulk is incredibly safe and stable, but because it’s very light and comfortable to pull. The bottom box is made of sturdy plastic that protects and insulates against the cold.

You don’t need to take our word for it that this is a fantastic child ski sled / pulk. The Nordic Cab Explorer won “Dagbladet” (Norwegian newspaper) and “Norwegian Ski Association” test of child pulks against Fjellpulken. This is the latest test of child pulks that has been conducted. Comfort

Stability

Exceptional stability: The Nordic Cab Explorer child pulk has a low center of gravity and the right distance between the skis and the steering tracks in the skis. This makes it the most stable child pulk on the market.

Sturdy roll cage: The child pulk has a sturdy roll bar, a 5-point harness, and a solid bottom box for extra protection against any obstacles.

Practical

The skis

Good glide: The skis are made of cold-resistant high-quality PE, which provides minimal friction on snow, resulting in good glide.
Curved shape: The skis have a slightly curved shape that provides a good contact surface with the snow, similar to the principle of camber in skis.
Steering tracks: The skis have four steering tracks in the sole, which provide stable tracking of the skier, even in tight turns and downhill sections.
Wide skis: The skis have a width of 10 cm with a large bearing surface, allowing the pulk to function well off the ski trails.
Individually movable: Nordic Cab skis are axle-mounted and independent of each other, allowing them to adapt to the terrain and dampen irregularities.
Twintip: The skis have a high tip both front and back. This makes them easy to maneuver and prevents them from digging into the snow when you push the pulk backward.
Separate ski attachment point: The pulk has a separate ski attachment point that helps balance the weight in the pulk, so you don’t have to carry unnecessary weight when pulling it.

Towing harness and pullers

Ergonomic towing harness: The towing harness has wide and padded shoulder straps for an ergonomic and comfortable towing experience. With reinforced and padded waist belt for back support.
Moving and flexible drag: The drags relieve and dampen the movement in the pulk, with telescoping functions to adjust the length and provide free movement for skis and poles.

OWN ATTACHMENT POINT FOR THE SKIS

Nordic Cab has developed the skis themselves and they have excellent glide due to the use of a specially selected low-friction plastic material. Furthermore, the sled’s skis have a good width that allows them to function in loose snow if necessary. The skis are designed to prevent lateral sliding on slopes and also have twintips. We have developed a unique center of gravity adjustment that ensures the sled is always stable, and you won’t have too much weight on your shoulders no matter how much you load into the sled.

PULL AND HARNESS

The sled’s tow bars are made of lightweight aluminum and are adjustable in three positions. This provides good length, even for those who want to travel quickly.

The sled’s harness, which is included, is padded and can be easily adjusted for both him and her. Padded shoulder straps ensure that the pulling load is optimal. However, the stops can be easily removed if they get in the way of a backpack or similar.

CHILD SKI HOLDERS

Child ski holders – so mom or dad don’t have to carry the skis 🙂 Nordic Cab has also developed ‘child ski holders’ for the X-Country Pulk. The idea for this came after having been the ‘packhorse’ for small children and, in addition to pulling the Pulk, dad also had to carry skis in one ‘free’ hand. On the Nordic Cab sled, the little one’s skis can be hung along the side of the box – practical and much more comfortable for mom and dad 🙂

CAN ALSO BE USED AS A CARGO SLED

Lifelong Joy – Use it as a cargo sled when the kids grow up! Another unique feature of the Nordic Cab sled is that you can use the Pulk as a cargo sled. As we all know, the little ones grow incredibly fast. Very soon, they don’t won’t to sit in the pulk anymore, but they’ll want to ski on their own. Nevertheless, for a long time to come, it will still be practical to pull a sled for all the odds and ends you need on your trip. How about some firewood for barbecue, food, packed lunches, extra clothes for changing, or if it gets cold, etc.
