The maximum weight capacity of the Nordic Cab depends on how it is being used. Here’s a breakdown:
- As a Bike Trailer for Children
When used as a bike trailer for children, we recommend not exceeding a total weight of 60 kg (132 lbs).- The trailer itself weighs 16.5 kg (36.5 lbs), leaving 43.5 kg (95.5 lbs) for children and any additional items.
- This limitation is based on safety considerations for cycling, including braking distance and maneuverability.
- For Cargo Transport
When used in cargo mode, the recommended maximum load is 60 kg (132 lbs). However, if you are using the cargo version as a bike trailer, the maximum load is reduced to 54 kg (119 lbs) to meet bike trailer safety standards. - Other Applications (Pram, Pushchair, Sled, etc.)
For other applications, such as a pram, sled, or pushchair, there are no strict weight limitations. The trailer is built to handle significantly more weight, but always ensure safe and balanced loading for optimal performance and longevity.
