It all began in Hamar, Norway, when Dagfinn Nyborg—a passionate hiker—wanted to share the joys of outdoor adventures with his children. Dagfinn believed that even a simple walk in the woods or the neighborhood could be as thrilling as a grand holiday. But traditional strollers weren’t up to the task. Determined to find a solution, he designed and built a stroller that could carry his kids and gear, opening up new possibilities for family adventures.
From the neighborhood to the mountains, fjords, and beyond, Dagfinn’s innovation transformed family outings and marked the birth of Nordic Cab in 1983. His original idea—a stroller built for versatility—became the foundation for a brand that continues to inspire exploration and adventure.

Year 1983
The first trailer was developed, complete with a drag harness for dogs.
Year 1991
Hamar Produkter was established, selling bike trailer and ski sled / pulk under the “Rocky” brand.
Year 2002

The company rebranded as Nordic Cab, introducing the first version of the Explorer, a versatile Multisport Bike Trailer.
Year 2019
A new direct-to-consumer strategy launched via our online store, simplifying the value chain and offering high-quality products at competitive prices.
Year 2021
The Nordic Cab Explorer Pulk / Ski sled was awarded “Test winner” by Dagbladet (newspaper) and Norway’s Ski Association.
Year 2022
A new global webshop launched, with free worldwide shipping, making Nordic Cab accessible to families everywhere.
Year 2023
Nordic Cab debuted the Hunter, a robust trailer designed for towing heavy loads in rugged terrain, perfect for hunting and outdoor adventures.
Year 2024
The upgraded Explorer Bike Trailer, Stroller and Ski Sled / Pulk was launched in three vibrant colors.
Nordic Cab also unveiled the Discover Child Carrier, combining ergonomic design and ample storage for on-the-go families.
