Do I need an adapter for my Cube?
Yes – in most cases.
Modern Cube bikes often come with:
- 12 mm thru axle (standard on MTB, gravel, and e-bikes)
- Boost rear hub spacing (common on e-MTBs)
- 5 mm quick release (on older or hybrid bikes)
- Internal gear hubs (on city or trekking bikes)
If your trailer doesn’t fit, you likely need an adapter.

Cube bikes use a variety of axle types:
- 12 mm thru axle (with different thread pitches)
- Boost spacing (148 mm rear hub)
- Solid axle/internal hub on some trekking/city models

Why doesn’t my trailer fit my Cube bike?
Because Cube uses a range of thru axles, Boost hubs, and dropout designs that aren’t trailer-compatible without an adapter.
Which Cube bikes need adapters?

How do I check which axle I have?
Remove the axle and check the size. Or send us a photo – we’ll figure it out for you.
Is it hard to install an adapter?
Not at all! You just need a hex key and a wrench. No special tools.
Do your adapters work with all trailer brands?
Yes! Thule, Hamax, Burley, Nordic Cab, Croozer, Qeridoo and all other 2-wheeled bike trailers that is fixed on the frame hub part of the bikes.
What if I buy the wrong adapter?
If you’re ordering from outside Norway, we recommend contacting us before you order if you’re unsure. Just send us your bike details – we’ll help you get it right the first time.
(Inside Norway, we offer a free exchange if needed.)
Can I use the same adapter on a different bike?
Only if the axle type is exactly the same. We recommend one adapter per bike.
Is it safe for children or pets in the trailer?
